Memorial Weekend

Both Uncle Eric and Aunt Kara came home for race weekend. This year the kids got to play with Uncle Eric as he didn't go to the race with the others. It's a super fun time to live here when it's a race weekend! Crazy, yes, but fun also!! The kids always enjoy spending as much time as they can with their Aunt and Uncle while they are home. It's nice when they come home together as we can all spend time together. The kids are already asking when Eric and Kara will be home again. Poor Mad cried and cried when Aunt Kara left for the airport. Such a big heart my Mad has!!

Lauren's Pool Party

Yes, I said pool party! Lauren has been wanting to have a pool party ever since Grandma Buckner put a pool in her backyard. So we had a party. I am VERY thankful the pool was heated that day as it was raining and the air temp was in the 60's!! Now, the girls had a blast and ran from hot tub to pool as if it were in the nineties outside. The party was a HUGE hit and all the girls had so much fun no one wanted to leave when it was over....except me who was a little chilled!!!

First Things First.....

Ok, so potty train first THEN we'll work on reading! This is a great shot of Ryan and the little girl I watch. I sent them into the potty in the kindergarten classroom and realized when I went to check on them that they were on the wrong sides! Great shot though....I'll keep this one just in case I may need to show Ryan's girlfriends this later on!

Playing with Cousins

One evening we had two of the my nieces over to play. The kids really enjoyed playing with their cousins. It's rare to have girl cousins in our family so the girls are taking advantage of playing with the girls. Ryan even shared his castle people with them which is pretty big. It means he really likes you when you are asked to play castle people with him!

Take Me Out to the Ballgame....

Lauren has been playing softball this spring. She has been having a great season and is showing great progress! She has good form and is a fast runner too....just needs some confidence and she can become a super player! She has played many positions and hasn't decided where she likes it best. She really enjoyed being catcher and I made sure our dental insurance was up to date!!! We have all enjoyed the season and watching her improve each game. She has only struck out once. Every other time she is at bat she gets to a base. She has even scored a few runs too! We are super proud of her.

Feelin' Fine 'Cause Lauren's Nine!!

Lauren thought long and hard about what sort of cake she wanted for her birthday. She finally decided that she wanted a pink cake with green icing and a pink nine on it. After a trash truck and bunny cake, this was a piece of cake! Ha Ha!! She was able to spread her birthday out over a few days as her sister did which made her happy. We went out to Olive Garden, her favorite place to eat and had cake when we came back home. She was suppose to have a softball game but it was cancelled at the last minute due to rain. She went out with Grandma and Grandpa Buckner for her birthday date and was thrilled to buy what she wanted with her money. Any guesses?? Of course she bought ANOTHER Webkinz. I've lost count to how many that is now. All in all she had a fantastic birthday...well worth the wait....

Tooth Fairy Visits Mad...

Madeline has lost her first tooth! We discovered it was loose on Saturday and while eating a cracker at church on Sunday, the tooth fell out. It was a tooth on the bottom. She was very very excited to have lost her first tooth. That night we put the tooth in her special tooth pillow. When she woke up the tooth fairy had visited!! She has another tooth that is wiggling around so stayed tuned.....
